Along with the 300 wins and 3500 strikeouts, Sutton threw 58 shutouts in his Hall of Fame career. That's twice as many as Justin Verlander, Max Scherzer, and Clayton Kershaw combined.
RIP Don Sutton. Damn. Redux.

Suddon Don - We will miss you/
Joe Simpson is the only one left of those four Braves announcers.
Don Sutton never missed a turn in 756 MLB starts. His record was 324-256, 3.26 ERA, 3,574 strikeouts. He was inducted to the HOF in 1998. His Dodger career spanned Sandy Koufax to Fernando Valenzuela. He also played for Houston, Milwaukee, Oakland and Angels. He later became a Braves announcer and he was a good one. Sutton passed away from a long battle with cancer. He passed away in his sleep.
Prayers for the Sutton family.
20 years with 200 innings pitched...won't be seeing that again.
