Nonpartisan. If you want an absolutely chilling account of what it looked like and sounded like and felt like on the ground, in the middle of it all, you have to read this:

Re whether these images will stick with us...as more insurrectionists are arrested, and more devices are confiscated, I think we'll have more than enough images to last our lifetimes.
Here's new (to me) video from the insurrectionists' viewpoint of the cop who led them away from the Senate (and Pence, I believe). How many of us would have the guts to stand up to a bunch of thugs, outnumbered at least 20-1? Unless I'm armed with an uzi, not me.
The first minute is sufficient:

I've always stressed to business colleagues how important it is to document your actions. Luckily, many of the insurrectionists believe in this also.

The highest promoted story on FoxNews.com right now regarding 1/6 is about a left wing activist’s role in the riot and a friendly Capitol Hill officer who let rioters in.
Big Lie couldn’t have been possible with out the decades of Big Misdirection and Big Propaganda that seeded the soil.
Oh Mittster, you ain't seen nuthin' yet.A man in a construction hard hat held up a hand-signed document, on official stationery, addressed from “Mitt” to “Mike”—presumably, Romney and Pence. It was the speech that Romney had given, in February, 2020, when he voted to impeach Trump for pressuring the President of Ukraine to produce dirt on Biden. “Corrupting an election to keep oneself in office is perhaps the most abusive and disruptive violation of one’s oath of office that I can imagine,” Romney had written.
Thanks for the link, tough but required reading.

There are some astonishing scenes in that story. I do not think Trump is going to go away; to the contrary, he's going to lean even harder into his grievances and beat his drum even louder. Agree with others who don't think the current strain of right wing extremism and violence goes away anytime soon. There are some deep, deep cult-style beliefs that have essentially become mainstream in the Republican party.
And apparently they don’t even need/want Trump now and, feeling betrayed, are prepared to go on with or without him:

"Fredrick Brennan, who created the website 8chan where “Q” posts and has spent the last two years attempting to have the site removed from the internet for its ties to white supremacist terror attacks, said he believes reality may devastate the movement on Inauguration Day.
"This week has been hugely demoralizing so far and that will be the final straw,” he said. “Even though Q is at the moment based on Donald Trump, it is certainly possible for a significant faction to rise up that believes he was in the deep state all along and foiled the plan.”
