I took State to cover and Pitt to cover. So bet the opposite.
State is at home and I'm tempted to go with the home team to cover. I've charged up many a hill with NCSU and usually I die quickly, painlessly to be buried in an unmarked grave. If State as a program is guilty of any particular failing from year to year it's that they lack patience on offense. Against UVa, that's a killer.

Sticking with my recent success asking "who has something to play for in this upcoming obscure slugfest", I'm going with Clemson to cover against Pitt. Much like how I felt with FSU-Miami, I think Clemson will fight hard to salvage a season that had expectations. They're not a bad team at all, they've just had a tough schedule lately, and I think they'll be ready to feast on a young team. 71-61 is roughly the score predicted by the line, and that feels higher scoring than I expect it to be, so I'm going with the under.
UNC has been up and down this year so they're hard to predict, but they've got the shooters to punish GT's zone, aren't re-integrating a point guard, and I think Roy is great at preparing for zones, so I'm going with the cheats to exceed our margin from Saturday and beat Tech soundly.
UVA-NCSU feels like a spanking coming up. UVA (with one inexplicable weird exception) does NOT MESS AROUND with teams they should beat. They just execute execute execute. I think they'll handle State easily, and this morning I was super surprised to see a spread of 5.5. Unfortunately for me by the time I got around to placing my bets I had to give 7. I still feel pretty good about it.
Other than Clemson-Pitt, I'm staying away from o/u today.
6 wagers tonight. Bet on them all, I say. No fun if you don’t play. 😎
If they aren’t going to cover, I’d prefer UVA just go ahead and lose. Winning but not covering is the worst possible outcome.
So can UVA win by 8 while combined scoring under 31 in overtime?
I guess it’s possible, but Salt has fouled out.
