If you were running a campaign to convince me not to watch Bird Box you pretty much nailed it.

I know not what course others may take; but as for me, give me liberty, or give me death!
I watched it last night. I find it hard to judge because it was okay, but at the same time it bugged me. It makes you think about what you would do if that actually happened. I don't know how many days, weeks, months, or years I would last having to live like that. At some point I would accept that it is not a life worth living and just go outside. Hiding and being blind folded is just not worth it. I'm American. I want my freedom, and I'm willing to die for it.

Malkovich was the whole movie, but even he couldn't bring it out of the dumpster. The rest of it was just awful. So many questions, so little answers. And then the end. pbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbt.

Here is one of my biggest pet peeves.
A bunch of strangers make it into a house, a small collection of survivors of millions.
And in this very small group of people, there happens to be on guy. "Hey, I know what's going on, I am almost finished with a novel that miraculously has the exact same scenario!"

    Whattacrock.
Q "Why do you like Duke, you didn't even go there." A "Because my art school didn't have a basketball team."

Freedom, I won't let you down.
Freedom, I will not give you up.
Why are you wasting time here when you could be wasting it by listening to the latest episode of the DBR Podcast?

This movie is apparently quite a phenomenon and has inspired the "Bird Box Challenge." Color me completely confused by all of this.

OK, I just finished reading the book, then made the mistake of watching the movie. The book was OK, it had its moments. It definitely creeped me out. And last night, I had a post-apocalyptic dream where I was scrounging for supplies and fighting off others trying to steal my stuff. But, the movie SUCKED! Most of the issues several of you had with the movie were remedied in the book. It did not all happen at once like at the beginning of the movie. SPOILER*** no escaped mental patients. That part was beyond stupid. There is a much more philosophical element to what's going through their minds. Seriously, if you haven't done either, I recommend the book and skip the movie. Blech!
