The Cheaters only have eleven games since the game against UCF was cancelled. So the best they can do is 5-6, and I believe they’ve already been eliminated

    A Couple of Thoughts

UNC actually has a decent defensive line and that's really what you need as a Pitt antidote. Along that same vein, UVa has struggled this year when our run fits are off and they were off last night.

Pitt played a good game and I don't want to write anything to diminish that. That said, UVa had 2 fumbles (both recovered by UVa) and 3 penalties on its first possession. They went on to have 10 penalties for the game, most of the concentration variety (e.g., false starts).

Good teams don't make mistakes and take advantage of others'. Last night, Pitt only made one serious mistake (losing a WR in coverage) and it led to our only TD.

I don’t know if a 5-6 team with poor academics moves ahead of 5-7 ones with superior academics.

Let’s take care of that issue next week, if it is indeed an issue.

Meanwhile, Clemson has put 70 points on the scoreboard against Louisville. With most of the fourth quarter to go.

But no brainer. 1-7 with angry, dejected Fedora at home after blowing another close game in last few minutes.

I get the same sense of sarcasm from both responses.

Do the cheats play like madmen next Saturday because it's a "rivalry" game or do they quit on the Hat...

    Hmmm...

I'm disappointed that GT couldn't get another TD late in the game.

I think they've already quit on the Hat. But you better believe they'll play like madmen vs Duke. We must avoid big plays, and that Ratliff-Williams player scares me. Gotta get good tackles on Carter too. No Pitt tackling. We need our Michael Carter to be better than theirs.

But first things first. Beating Miami somehow would take huge pressure off Duke heading into next weekend. Go Duke!
