Somebody made Leaonna mad, she dominated the first quarter.

Exxfellent defense other than losing Church on occasion, who has four threes.

Biggest crowd of the year, with far too many children who were raised improperly by being taught to root for a bunch of cheaters.

Hope they can keep it up and send Faith and Sofia out with a win

Duke did a terrific job in the first half outrebounding the Heels and limiting turnovers. There seems to be an elevated bounce in the Blue Devils' step and sharpened focus on executing cleanly at both ends. It also helps that UNC missed a lot of shots, including some right around the basket. Here's hoping Duke can keep it up through the second half and earn the season sweep.

We won the third quarter by one. 52-37 going to the fourth.

UNC's Bailey is disqualified. IMO, for that wholly outrageous behavior -- shoving players and officials in an insane rage to start a fight with a Duke player -- she ought to be banned by the conference from further competition this season.

Bailey ejected for UNC. She is very strong and several teammates tried to hold her back. She actually pushed the officials out of the way trying to get at Duke player.

Not sure what set her off. She bumped into Duke players after the tie up was over. Williams appeared to have said something she took exception to. She even knocked on of her teammates down.

I agree - losing one’s temper in the heat of the moment for a few seconds imposed consequences - but Bailey didn’t not stop and wanted to pursue a violent fight. I remember well the Tomjanovich punch decades ago which almost killed him. Fighting can’t be taken lightly.

Congrats to the Duke women on sweeping the Heels. Except for a short lapse early in the fourth quarter that allowed UNC to go on a 7-0 run and narrow the lead to 9 before making a nice recovery, the Blue Devils played with commendable energy, focus, and awareness. Here's hoping they can maintain that level of performance and make some noise at the ACC Tournament that will give the team a positive boost going forward into next season.
