Best part is that with the loss of the Central Florida game, unc needs to go 5-1 in the last six to be bowl eligible. (Of course, if they had played Florida Central they still would probably have to go 5-1 in the last 6.)

This time it could say "2018 ACC Citywide Champions: Broke, Enterprising, Suspended, 1-10". Maybe 2-9 if you like their chances at home against Western Carolina.

80 teams play in bowl games and 130 teams are in the FBS. Six wins are needed to be eligible so 7 losses and a team is mathematically eliminated.
Once we get to 50 teams out we know who is bowling. There are 44 teams on the list down below.
Teams with 5 losses
Indiana Hoosiers
Eastern Michigan Eagles
Arizona Wildcats
Vanderbilt Commodores
SMU Mustangs
Tulane Green Wave
Kansas Jayhawks
Kansas State Wildcats
TCU Horned Frogs
Illinois Fighting Illini
Florida Atlantic Owls
UTSA Roadrunners
Miami (OH) RedHawks
New Mexico Lobos
Air Force Falcons
Tennessee Volunteers
East Carolina Pirates
Teams with 6 losses
UMass Minutemen
Ball State Cardinals
Colorado State Rams
Wyoming Cowboys
Navy Midshipmen
Louisville Cardinals
Nebraska Cornhuskers
UNLV Rebels
Oregon State Beavers
UCLA Bruins
Georgia State Panthers
South Alabama Jaguars
Texas State Bobcats
North Carolina Tar Heels
Teams with more than 6 losses
Old Dominion Monarchs
New Mexico State Aggies
Arkansas Razorbacks
UConn Huskies
Tulsa Golden Hurricane
Rutgers Scarlet Knights
Western Kentucky Hilltoppers
Bowling Green Falcons
Kent State Golden Flashes
San Jose State Spartans
Rice Owls
Central Michigan Chippewas
UTEP Miners
Although I hope we can at least get 6-6 to be guaranteed a bid, here is a 5-7 watch:
Northwestern 5-3
Air Force 3-5
Vanderbilt 4-5
Navy 2-6
Duke 5-3
Also of note: Army and BYU either have special agreements or take a slot away from another school. Army need 7 wins to bowl (likely at 6-2).

Is it appropriate to change the name of this thread to "Which Bowl?" Vigil.
One thing working against us right now is ACC record. If we can go 4-4, we might have a chance at the last Tier 2 spot or Military Bowl.
Last week a few people were complaining that there was too much football being discussed on the DBR forum....now FB has disappeared, with the Cheats kickoff now less than 48 hours away. So I thought I'd bump a FB thread back up.
Dangerous game for us....having my Cheats paranoia...
