I'm glad to see that guys i never thought would have pro careers are doing so (Tyler Thornton, Josh Hairston) and that guys who couldn't make it at Duke can also have pro careers (Eric Boateng, Alex Murphy), and that guys whose NBA careers came to an end continue to play for $$$ (Singler, Nelson, Randolph). I guess if you're good enough to play at Duke you're good enough to have a pro career somewhere, which is probably a good recruiting pitch to get guys who are not highly ranked to come tough it out for 4 years.
If i had enough athletic skill to play a sport professionally, even if it was for peanuts, i'd probably do it b/c a) how many people get to make money playing a game and b) the world of non-athlete jobs will always be there.
