As I see two of my players matched up against each other tomorrow, it occurs to me that splitting choices between teams may not have been the best approach.

I'm going all-in on Europe winning again on home soil even though I think the US is objectively better 1-12. Just a gut call - probably a dumb one.

    Tiebreaker: Europe 15 - 13.

Good start for the Trippers, with only Rose dropping a match and with Fowler winning big (and Fleetwood winning medium).

The sheet has been updated with the morning matches.

    Early leaders:
    Sage Grouse 10
    Tripping William 8
    CB&B 6
    Curtis 3
    Rich 2

Those are the only folks in positive territory.

Wow, talk about a bloodbath. What a disastrous second half of the day for the US. It wasn’t just losing all 4, they were all demoralizing blowouts.

They didn’t play Reed, Woods or Koepka. Mickelson and DeChambeau were awful and Spieth and Thomas weee even worse. Spieth in particular looked so out of sorts on the golf course in the second match. It’s like he expects to miss every putt - absolutely no confidence and terrible body language.

Of course things can turn around very quickly but Europe has a lot of momentum. Also, it’s clear this is a very tough golf course.

Yup, I got that too with Simpson vs. Rose.

Not that it matters to me. All my guys could win by 4 or 5 holes and I still would not have a chance.
