Ok, let's have a contest. We keep talking about it but no one is taking the lead. Time for me to step up!
Here are the rules...
You pick 5 players... I don't care if they are all American or all European or what. Pick your five. You can pick any 5 you want.
You will get 1 point for every hole they win or lose by. So, if a player wins one match 2-and-1 and loses another 4-and-3, he is worth negative 2 points. A tie is worth half a point, not zero. The tiebreaker is the total points team USA will earn. There are 28 total points available. Make sure to include your tiebreaker in your point total!

Why are you wasting time here when you could be wasting it by listening to the latest episode of the DBR Podcast?

Could you all keep the contest talk to this thread, and leave the other one for discussion about the actual golf being played? If not (based on the previous FedEx thread) a lot of us will not read/participate.
Fowler
Tiger
Rory
Fleetwood
Molinari
USA 15
I'll try this-
Rose
Reed
Thomas
McIlroy
Koepka

I want someone to make the really savvy pick and take 5 of the bottom tier players who are likely to mostly only play on Sunday... get a win or two from them and you could easily win. I am telling you, the winning score for us is going to be no higher than plus-3.

I am trying to use a google sheet to keep track of all this. Have a look --

Justin Rose
Tommy Fleetwood
Justin Thomas

Rooting for the US of A, but the long shadow of history makes me pick some Euros for the High Sage Team.
Kindly,
Sage Grouse
'I am giving Molinari a second chance -- probably really dumb! It makes no sense statistically to pick folks who are sitting out the first round, and I don't think Tiger will play more than three matches, although I expect him to do well'

Thanks, Jason. A new format will enable me to find new ways to lose!
