A horse is a horse, of course, of course
And no one can talk to a horse, of course
That is, of course, unless the horse is glue

Likely posted before but disingenuous sounds appropriate.

Just saw one I’d never seen before. In my son’s school magazine — written by adults— and distributed online now. Said this issue is “chalk full of great stuff.” Chalk? Yeah no.

I love the word "denizen", and I love posting it in the correct thread.

If "impact" can't be a verb, why can "invite" be a noun?
"Amazing what a minute can do."

Do you mean like "It was an invite moment"?

Isn't that an adjective, modifying "moment"?

I was thinking more like, "I'll send you an invite for that Zoom call."
"Amazing what a minute can do."

With me it’s more often “Where’s my invite?” followed by an awkward silence and my friends muttering something about spotty mail delivery.

    Ha! Love it.

I don't know why, but I found this particularly funny. (That means that I was amused by his post).

Am I the only one that sees this thread pop up and immediately thinks to create a list of usernames and disliked words to be used as a reference when posting responses. For example, I'd include a gratuitous amount superfluous references when responding to Devildeac just to see if he notices or if he's just oblivious to the trolling.

I used to play poker with a guy who was funny and smart but also met every criteria for Narcissistic Personality Disorder. I once told him that he was being condescending and he replied "You are not using that word correctly - you mean patronizing." Would have been a good joke but alas he was serious.

    Anyways.

I utterly despise the trailing "s". And here's the thing: Usage has become so common, that the board software doesn't even permit me to search the thread for the word because it is too common. Of course, that may also be a software issue, with the programming thinking that it's a plural... But regardless, it is becoming more and more common, and it never ceases to grate.
