So reads a lead article in last Wed's Sports Section in the Washington Post. The story is about a high school team in Bethesda that has been decimated by injury.

Before I move on, many of this school's gals play on club soccer teams for the Bethesda Soccer Club, which for those not knowledgible perenially fields teams that vie not only for state but national honors.

The injuries incurred by young women on this year's team include: three concussions, a fainting spell, four sprained ankles, two torn acls, all by different players.

"And, you tell me, over and over and over again, my friends, you don't believe, we're on the eve of destruction." (attribution omitted.)

Hey, maybe it's because of the wide hips?
