So I've added some tempo/negative splits to my normal daily mile and also decided to do some body weight exercises. I've definitely gotten a bit faster on my mile runs. I'm also doing 25 sit ups and 10 push ups a day right before bed. Yesterday I started adding some different ab exercises with the sit ups. Only been doing it a week but noticing the exercises have gotten easier. I'm really wondering if these micro workouts are going to show substantial results over time. It does take a fair bit of mental discipline to exercise every single day, but just doing a couple of things daily for maybe 15 total minutes is working well for someone like me who doesn't have much free time.
