Nope, 690 calories per slice. I had it shipped to the office so I'll have plenty of help

We do the same thing if a patient brings us a pie/cake/cookies/candy; share the fat grams .

Thanks 4GEN for the Wayne Hill Dark Chocolate cherry ganache pie! Just outstanding. Whenever anybody wins a pie bet, you will not be disappointed with that selection.

Congrats Budwom! You made a smart bet - sometimes it's better to bet/invest with your head not your heart. Bad matchup indeed - you totally called it and deserve a pie. There are some fantastic folks on DBR, and you're certainly in that category. I don't mind one bit shipping a pie to you. Enjoy! Just wish it were under more celebratory circumstances. Hope to see you at another tailgate, and we'll toast some more celebratory beer that day.

You want the blueberry crumb? Just PM me your shipping info/address.

After that outcome, I'll slow down on my pie betting for a bit, but in time I'll be back.

Go Duke! Beat the cheats and all will be forgiven!

Hopefully this fuels an incredible week of practice for the good guys.

This Duke team is fun and vintage. Time to kick off basketball season with a pie bet.

Pie Bet Offer only for First Taker:

    You get Duke -13.
    I get Georgetown +13.

Go Duke! I wouldn't mind a blowout, but this one is going to be tougher than that.

If I win I'll probably go with Bourbon Chocolate Pecan and pair it with a BBA Imperial Stout.

    Anybody wanna play?

Just wanted to send some Kudos to Wheat. I had totally forgot about making this bet and he PM'ed me recently to remind me to pick my pie and send shipping info.

    Stand-up guy.

PMd recently? He should have PMd when the deal was decided months ago!

    j/k

Wheat paid up on my one pie bet as well. Particularly notable now though, since he's been off board for so long.

I thought about getting a little jab in like that, but decided that him having to watch a few more UNC games this year is punishment enough. 😀

I did wish him well though, he said he's holding out hope they can make a miracle run through the ACC tournament and make the dance. What a story line that would be.

Gonna be tough, Nate Britt isn't walking through that door anytime soon.

Pretty sure is was tongue in cheek. But deep down, I'm sure all fans would be holding on to that hope for their team in they were in the same situation. That's what makes us fans.

If Duke were in the same boat, I'd still watch every game hoping for a miracle until the bitter end. Actually, that's exactly what I did in '95.

And the 70's for this old guy. Wheat had many posts that I really liked to read but a few that got under my skin.

    GoDuke!

    Friendly Pie Bet Wager Offer:

I have seen multiple long-time posters guarantee that Duke will lose in the first weekend of the NCAAT.

This offer is good today only for the first taker:

Duke will make it to the Sweet 16. If they do, I win a pie.

Duke fails to make Sweet 16, you win a pie.

Lots and lots of pie flavors to choose from if you click the links:

    https://shop.gtpie.com/order/category/fruit-pies/

And I know you'll still be rooting for Duke. But this way you can hedge and at least win a pie if you feel confident that Duke is most likely a first weekend exit.

    Who wants to play?

FYI, Steven43 is a poster who honors their debts! Thanks for what looks like a beautiful key lime pie.

Steven43 and I veered off the main path of usual pie bets and agreed to purchase a local pie rather than pay for shipping and end up with a less fresh pie. Mine is from Geraldines, a very good bakery here in North Asheville.

    Thanks, Steven43!
