It's being reported that Louisville to Vacate Title and Pay large Fine for their role in Adidas Scandal:

I remember back when there was talk of taking Louisville in the ACC some didn't want to because they felt they would tarnish the ACC's reputation. Who knew they'd actually handle their transgressions better than Carolina, a member we already had.
This makes our Elite 8 loss to Louisville sting about 2% more. I'll never give up the contention that we win that game if Ware's horrific injury doesn't happen.
We have a very good chance to win if that injury doesn't happen. However, we should never have been in the same region as #1 overall seed louisville because we should have beaten Maryland in the ACC tournament. If we beat Maryland we are a 1 seed imo and don't see the Cardinals until the final four.
Didn’t slick rick get a tattoo on his back after they won? That’s gotta be a helluva reminder every morning.
Edit: I guess it was his shoulder. Even worse since he can see it so easily.

Louisville should have done it The Carolina Way.
The NCAA will probably just give that banner to roy.
According to the tweet, it doesn't sound like this is self-imposed. The tweet says "they will have to pay $15 million in fines". That doesn't sound like it is voluntary. But, again, if you read the article, it sounds like this guy has a history of trying to break stories, but is often wrong. We'll see.
Dan Dakich. He's a clown and not at all reliable, especially for substantive breaking news like this.
Also, it is worth noting that The NCAA has not yet issued a notice of allegations against Louisville for the Adidas scandal. The penalties he is talking about here stem from the 2010-2014 scandal involving strippers (hookers?) and other improper benefits to players. In addition to the 2013 National Title, a 2012 Final Four appearance could be vacated from that scandal.
A $15mil fine and vacating numerous wins (and banners) would not be at all a surprise in this scandal. In fact, it is pretty much what many folks have assumed would happen since the NCAA issued their NOI well over a year ago. The Adidas mess is a completely separate scandal Louisville needs to deal with in the future.
-Jason "here's hoping the NCAA gives them the death penalty so the ACC can kick them out of the league... they are a huge embarrassment, do not fit culturally with the other universities, and should not be part of this conference" Evans
Why are you wasting time here when you could be wasting it by listening to the latest episode of the DBR Podcast?
Jason your analysis and prediction makes infinitely more sense. I was wondering why they were tying it to the Adidas scandal and not the former scandal, but that is what the article said. I assumed ESPN Dan Dakich wouldn't break a story like this unless he knew, but it definitely sounds like he may not have any or all his facts straight. It does sound like Louisville will probably lose that banner, though, and soon.
Then Adidas after that really could be death penalty. The Adidas thing was really bad. Firing the AD and Pitino were smart moves.
2nd largest athletic department budget in the conference. They aint going anywhere!
