Most of it. Specifically, the bolded part...

Hah hah. Couldn’t help yourself could you. Seems a pretty benign point, if you want to articulate specifically what you disagree with, let it fly.

Well, you must not quite be invested in the total stock market...US Total Stock market still down ~7% from Jan (S&P 500 down 6%). If you hold international or small-cap those are down more at -15% and -14% respectively. So, for a typical mix of 70 US/30 Foreign, one would be down about 9.4% from Jan. I personally skew to Small Value, so am down a bit more (but have seen a big upswing as of late)...Still, the resiliency of the market is definitely interesting given the economic and corporate numbers.

I may have posted holdings upthread somewhere.

A bunch of Fidelity mutual funds (international and domestic), and a few individual stocks like Amazon, Microsoft, Apple, and Gilead.

They've done more than held up, they've flourished.

IMO, that's the perfect quote for the occasion! Breaking old, previously successful, habits was very hard. My new approach is the same as when I wrote this two months ago...

"There's a new dance craze sweepin' the land
First you get out of bed, then you attempt to stand
You get out of bed, you get to your feet
You got to just stand there, you can't retreat
Now here comes the hard part, it's bad news
You got to bend over and put on your shoes

Over in the bed lies your sleepin' wife
Snorin' like a sailor, she's the love of your life
But that women is a martyr and you know it's true
Who the hell else would put up with you?
You got a brand new dance and it goes like this
You wake up in the mornin' and look in to the abyss."

Or as Todd Snider would say:

"So now I got a brand new dance
    I need one more shot
I just need one last chance
    I know I won't get caught

I gotta make my last stand
This time I can't be bought
But then again on the other hand --
    How much have you got?

I got nothin' to lose, I got nothin' to gain
It's like a one way ticket to cruise in that passin' lane
    I can't complain."

Once in a while you get shown the light,

Sometimes the lights all shining on me,
Other times I can barely see,
    Lately it occurs to me,
What a long strange trip it's been!

Ask me for a dime, a dime for a cup of coffee?
I got no dime, but I got some time to hear your story.

Here's a half a dollar, if you dare
double-twist when you hit the air.

(Okay, I'll stop before I try to work in something about the transitive nightfall of diamonds . . . .)

    (Or the $1,000 in Dupree's Diamond Blues . . . .)

(Or the terrible "she wants money" -- ugh)
