I think I was on a zoom with him recently. He spent 20 minutes telling me we would have to have a lot of people writing memos and detailed plans for Matters Requiring Attention about our failure to have asterisks in the right place on memos discussing extremely low risk assets while paying zero attention to true risk factors.

Did he remind you about extra copies of your TPS reports?

Yep, that’s him…. I heard he was one of the very best regulators in America! Thanks for the confirmation.

I told him that if he failed me I would take his red swingline stapler and suddenly everything was cool.

This seems to be something of a self-fulfilling prophecy of people saying the sky is falling so therefore it must fall. There is a lot of irrational behavior going on. Which means there is potentially a lot of money to be made and lost.

Smart move! If you had threatened to take his slide rule, then you might have been held accountable for his massive heart attack. Regulators greatly prize their modern technology.

Finally dipped my toe in your CUBI. Always appreciate your investment thoughts. I'm a big time lurker on this thread.

In the patting yourself on the back camp, I flipped a small trade in FRC for a nearly 50% gain. Bought last night after the bell at 12.15 and sold into the upsurge early this afternoon. Now, if I can do that 30-40 more times, I might really have something.

Awesome! Next time, put a couple more zeros on the trade and let’s party like it’s 1999!

IMO, the smart move is do nothing until this banking crisis dies!

Said differently, yes, the Fed will increase 25 bps this week.
