    Before even my time, but I know about the three Davis brothers -- Jasper (nicknamed "Jap"), Tom and Bill.

    The first two were stars on Duke's 1942 Rose Bowl team ... Bill starred after serving in WWII.

    Not clear from the article what his age was, I guess he was in his 90s. Boy! Married for 69 years and she survives. Amazing.

    Jim, it said "1924-2017" on the picture. A ripe old age and survived by his wife of 69 years.
