Boycotting until Little Feat are in.
"The 2018 inductees for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame were announced Wednesday morning, and this year’s class includes a trio of ’80s legends: Bon Jovi, Dire Straits and The Cars. Also included this year are progressive rock icons the Moody Blues and the late jazz/soul songstress Nina Simone."

Nice to see the Moody's finally get in. They deserve a space alongside their peers, The Beatles, Rolling Stones, and the Who.
My only question is when does Grand Funk Railroad get in?
About freaking time for Dire Straits! Along with critical acclaim from the beginning, they briefly reached biggest band in the world status, before Mark Knopfler decided intentionally not to be a big rock star any more. He's also gone on to record a solid string of solo or duo albums, to the extent Dire Straits gets any carry over credit for that.
It will be interesting to see who performs as part of Dire Straits for the induction ceremony.
I'm still waiting for the Doobie Brothers, Judas Priest, Emerson, Lake & Palmer, Iron Maiden and Jethro Tull. It's a farce some of the people that are in the "Rock & Roll" hall before these bands.

Strongly agree! Awesome band that put on some of the best live concerts I ever saw. Must have seen them 20+ times before 1994. Loved the Lowell George sound.
Allman Brothers, Little Feat, and Jethro Tull were almost always great live. The Grateful Dead had their moments.
Sorry, I thought Ymo was referring to this:

All threads are about beer in dd’s world, so it is not so much a hijack as a woke moment.
To be fair, he doesn’t hide it well.
Love Dire Straits and Moody Blues. Both deserving.
The Cars? Really? Are they any more deserving than Men at Work?
Is Squeeze in? If not, that’s a rob job too.

If you really like the older rock but want new stuff give Gretta Van Fleet a listen. It's a bunch of young guys trying to get started big and they have a very Led Zeplin sound to them. They are playing at Rock on the Range in 2018.
