How is Wake’s run defense, and are we willing to call the runs in a Bob Green-pleasing way?

Wake Forest defense gives up 444.1 yards per game: 200.3 on the ground and 244.1 through the air. They are 14th in the ACC in Total Defense and 9th in Scoring Defense at 25.9 points per game. They have seven wins and are 4-3 in the ACC because they score 34.6 points per game, which is 3rd in the ACC.

In Wake's last loss, 48-37 to Notre Dame, the Irish rushed 46 times for 380 yards and passed for 330 more. Georgia Tech rushed 66 times for 427 yards; Clemson 48 for 190; FSU 43 for 149.

Duke is going to have to score points to beat Wake Forest.

The offensive strength is running the football with Wilson, Brown and Jones; however, as I've stated multiple times, the offense is best when it is balanced so the passing game is going to have to contribute. Yes, I strongly believe we should run more than we pass but we still have to successfully pass the ball to win.

Against Georgia Tech, Duke rushed 51 times and passed 28 times. That is almost two rushes per pass attempt. I hope we see a similar ratio on Saturday.

On the one that was downed at the 1 yard line, he watched as a deacon downed it. Couldn't he have cut off the angle at least and blocked the guy from the ball to hope it rolled into the end zone. I mean try at least.
