Duke Dunk Report

Marvin is now tied for dunks with my senior year (2004) San Antonio Final Four team. That team had two lottery pick forwards (Sheldon, Luol). Pretty impressive.

I swear I know how to spell Shelden and that was 100% my iPad’s autocorrect.

Five dunks against Kansas, and we spread the wealth around: Marvin 1, Wendell 1, Grayson 1, Trevon 1, and Marques 1.

Ten different Duke players dunked this season. Six players had double-figure dunks. Marvin ended his Duke record-setting season with 96 dunks, tying Josh McRoberts for 8th on the Duke career list, and outdunking nine past Duke teams. Wendell (57 dunks) finished #8 on the Duke single-season dunk list. Just Marvin and Wendell together had more dunks than any Duke team except 1999 (and of course this year's team).

Final season Duke individual dunk stats, 37 games:

Marvin Bagley: 96
Wendell Carter: 57
Grayson Allen: 19
Marques Bolden: 17
Javin DeLaurier: 16
Trevon Duval: 12
Gary Trent: 6
Jack White: 5
Alex O'Connell: 3
Justin Robinson: 1

Total team dunks: 232 (6.3 dunks per game)
