Hmmmm . . . just for fun, I plugged-in the 10 point lead that Northern Iowa had vs Texas A&M with 29 seconds left in the 2016 NCAA Tournament.

It says "Yes! The lead is 100% safe!"


It ain't gospel, but it's good enough for me to bookmark the link so it can serve as emotional reinforcement during Duke games. I'll take anything I can get to help my nerves.

i failed to respect the jinx energy of the universe and posted in the ACC this week thread wrt UNC-State game.
NCSU playing well so far, although i fear that UNC will start hitting some of the 3s they've been missing so far and take over. UNC shooting 50% overall and 1-9 from 3, whereas NCSU shooting 45% oferall and 6-10 from 3.
And now they're up 3. FFFFFFFF!!!!
State really falling apart on offense and defense the last 3 minutes.

Yurt7 is pretty good on offense, and is playing pretty well so far, but he is abysmal on defense. Loafing back on a secondary break by UNC, not rotating over in any useful way to prevent a driving lay up, giving up open 3s to Maye. Gad, he is useless on defense.
Still, Freeman is red hot from 3 (6-6) and NCSU has taken a 3 pt lead.

Despite having a big advantage in height in the post and useful depth in the post, UNC continues to get lots of easy looks right at the rim. Maye is coming out high, where he must be guarded due to his 3pt shooting, but NCSU's defense has no idea how to prevent UNC from getting layups while Maye is up top.

Despite nice passing in the post, NCSU just got too scared to even shoot on that possession.
