Quinn missed Santa Cruz's 120-113 loss to Salt Lake City for personal reasons. Michael Gbinije had 10 points in 40 minutes. Also of note, Patrick McCaw did not get assigned again, ending his streak at 5 games in 5 days (2 G League games in the middle of 3 NBA games).

So it wasn't likely the reason he didn't play (as at least Justin Patton played) but Amile, along with Patton and fellow two way player Anthony Brown were all recalled by the T-Wolves with Iowa off until after the all-star break. Before anyone gets too excited, this is likely for practice purposes only as recalling two way players does not increase the gameday roster size from what I can gather, so the Wolves would have to deactivate current NBA players just for these guys to even dress. Still notable for Amile though as I believe this is the first time he has been called up so he'll be paid at his NBA rate for the first time.

Given the break in the schedule, it's the right thing to do, especially since Amile might have had a shot at a 10 day deal somewhere had he not signed the two-way deal. There is no transactional issues with changing which 13 players dress on any given day. The Timberwolves have carried 14 all season with Justin Patton basically on full-time rehab. Even though he has dressed while healthy, Shabazz Muhammad has not been happy with his lack of playing time. It does seem like they will try to sign a 15th player, which would further block Amile's chances at getting into a game at some point.

Ontario has declared that Andre will miss the rest of the season due to injury.

Windy City trade for the returning players rights to Nolan Smith from Maine in exchange for a 4th round pick. Neither has much value since Nolan's rights will expire soon and 4th round picks rarely make the roster. Maybe the GMs get a bonus for making trades?

The announcers were doing the math during the game. There's a reasonable chance that Quinn could be officially with the big club for the rest of the season as they need a spare guard and they only would need to have him away from the team for a few days to not hit the limit.
