Reed Mullin, drummer for Corrosion Of Conformity dies.

if any of you were into the hard core/punk scene of the 80's, you'd have to know who Corrosion Of Conformity was. I worked with Reed Mullin when i produced TECHNOCRACY for them in 1988...Reed had been in very poor health from alcohol abuse for the last few years.

It's a sad time to lose such a pioneer in that genre. He was a monster drummer, and launched the band to a global fanbase...

    he was 53...

    Bummer.

I remember them. Clean my Wounds, Albatross, etc. Solid band. A little Sabbath, a little Alice in Chains.

    RIP.

Wow. I was too late to the punk scene (just last 10 yrs or so), though listening now to Albatross, I think you nailed it with the Sabbath/AIC comparison. Their sound must have evolved, because that one isn't punk.
