Barry Jacobs' Column on Double-Dipping -- Uhh, Barry?
Uncharacteristically, Barry Jacobs' column on the NCAA fate of ACC teams that won both regular season and conference championships (tournament) contained a couple of mistakes. He categorizes outcomes by Championship, Finals, Final Four, Elite Eight and Sweet Sixteen. He lists Duke's teams in 1963, 1964, and 1966 as "Final Four," but the 1964 team beat Michigan in the semis and played UCLA for the championship. He list's JJ's final team in 2006 as "Elite Eight," but actually it lost to LSU in the Sweet Sixteen.

'When I got on the bus for my first road game at Duke, I saw that every player was carrying textbooks or laptops. I coached in the SEC for 25 years, and I had never seen that before, not even once.' - David Cutcliffe to Duke alumni in Washington, DC, June 2013
