A Lousville win would help take the sting out of tonight. That would leave them tied with the CHeats atop the ACC and us a game back along with FSU and ND. Things would still be very much up for grabs. Louisville looking pretty good early, CHeats living off offensive rebounds as expected.
Justin Jackson fires a brick off the back of the rim that somehow falls flat and rolls in. Stillman White banks in a two pointer. What is it with all the !@)*(& bank shots tonight?
Wonder what pissed off Pitino to the point of shouting on his way into locker room at halftime...
“Coach said no 3s.” - Zion on The Block
It appeared that he was responding to a comment from a spectator who turned away and tried to act nonchalant. Pitino was pretty hot and had to be mildly restrained as the the fan was escorted out of the stadium via the same exit that leads to the visitor's dressing room. Video now up on ESPN.
Oh look. Another team rolls over for UNC.
Dirty birds laid an egg.
It was an intense sort of game that takes the legs out of players. White was put in to maintain a high defensive effort and to rest Berry some, while conserving and keeping Britt fresh for the second half. Roy has confidence in White, along with his experience to not make mistakes and keep the offense moving. He can make his shots if left open, but he's also disiplined enough to not force anything.
Roy can coach. He has everybody on his bench prepared and he is not afraid to go deep into the bench when he thinks a players strength is the right fit for a particular situation, like tonight with White.

Although there are still 2-3 games left in the regular season, tonight's game in Chapel Hill may seal Jason Evans' bet with Wheat about Isaiah Hicks' All-ACC chances.
It's gonna be close, and I'm probably behind on that bet at the moment. But, all he has to do is make one of the teams...even honorable mention and pie for me!
He earns many of his calls, too many, with poor situational awareness, but I can't remember a big, playing for anybody, that refs consistently call incidental contact fouls on like they do with Hicks. Meeks and Bradley, not to mention Louisville's guys, got away with way more no call contact all game.
He's got to do better, no doubt.
Hicks may have the lowest basketball iq of any player I have ever seen
Clearly the cheats are a title contender. Few, if any, teams have their combination of talent, balance, depth, and experience.
