I like having only one captain

I liked that quote by Coach, about the captaincy being diluted recently... I had been thinking that for a few years now, that they were basically naming three captains who were just the most senior guys... and three captains on a team where maybe 8 guys play is just stupid.

So kudos to Coach for making a captaincy MEAN something again, instead of just being an assumed honor by all older players.

Well, he's the one who started captaining everyone in the first place, so I'm not sure he deserves all that much praise. But I do agree that I like having only one captain.

Nonetheless, even if he did start in on it a little bit, I am glad he has pulled it back. Many coaches wouldn't have done that.

I think that one captain this year is a great choice. I haven't been concerned when we've had TWO over the past several years, but 3 is clearly not in the best interest of the team.

I think this year will be exciting for us blue devil fans. Can't wait.
