Happy Thanksgiving to my DBR family! Very thankful for many things this year, one of which is for this wonderful site we have in the DBR to discuss sports, cinderblocks, movies, you name it.

The final turkey leftover concoction: white bean chili with chopped dark meat, plenty of chili powder, cilantro (if inclined) some shredded monterey jack cheese and salsa garnish.

    You're welcome!

I have about 10 quarts of turkey stock and I'm not afraid to use it.

We are finishing off my wife's turkey enchiladas tonight. Always a winner.

Just put some in the crock pot with the 15-bean pile that soaked overnight. Probably around six?

Shouldn't this thread be locked and a post game/holiday thread be started?

Only if the debate between stuffing and dressing turns too PPB.

(dressing is Communist though -- just throwing that marker out early)

No kidding? And here I thought "dressing" was only for the upper class and stuffing was for the servants...

As long as we don't get into the culture war between Texas Turkey and fancy brining techniques we'll be okay. That's where the emotions run hot and this thread gets shut down. (Brining is for cultural elitists, of course)

This Thanksgiving weekend I was most thankful for NC State whipping the Heels at Kenan. I have an NCSU friend who went to the game. She said the anger and frustration among the power blue crowd was more delicious than anything served on the Thanksgiving dinner table.
