Trophy Wife (12 ounce can-didn't check date on bottom of can)-Trophy Brewing Company
Reviewed again because one trophy wife is not enough .
Yea, I cheated (not that way) as I was on call but didn't think I'd tasted one of these before so had about four ounces with dinner from younger son-in-law's can.
Pretty similar thoughts to the draft review above with perhaps a bit of pineapple on the nose and palate. Very pleasant session IPA.

First Cold Mountain of the season tonight. Not bad, but yet again, nowhere near as good as Ninjabread Man.
Mildly off topic in the interest of public safety.
Asheville friends, the Washington Post is reporting a serious outbreak of chicken pox. Hope you’ve had it, or have taken preventative steps (trying to avoid any charged topics in our virtual pub).
Even further off topic...
My wife contracted chicken pox as an adult. At our wedding. She was out of commission for about 3 weeks. We were pretty quickly tested with the "in sickness and in health" portion of the vows.
It's no joke as an adult and can cause serious health problems.
A “drink now” recommendation on this year’s Goose island Bourbon County Stout:

Speaking of Asheville Brewing, they just announced a collaboration with Sierra Nevada called Christmas Jam Ale. Will certainly be on the lookout for that one.
Haven’t seen Cold Mountain in the Triangle yet.
Wonder if it hasn’t arrived yet, or if it is already gone.
Anyone taste one of these yet?

Park Day (canned on 7/31/18)-Mother Earth Brewing
Drink almost local!
First brew from my October 4 pack that I didn't pick up until last week .
A Bohemian-style pilsner from down east NC.
Pouring vigorously from the 12 ounce revealed a slightly cloudy, straw-colored brew with a moderate, frothy head. The 100% German hops (guessing Tettnang and Mittlefruh) and malts (Carapils? Pale?) produce attractive floral scents and flowery, garden-like and mildly honey-ish tastes. I'll guess IBUs in the 20-30 range with the ABV at 4.9% so this would be a nice porch pounder in warmer weather to accompany turkey/chicken and Havarti/Muenster sandwiches and a pasta salad.

I have a 12 pack in my basement my business partner gave me last week.
I generally think it is overpriced hype, but I appreciate the opportunity to prove myself right (or wrong).
Keep looking around, it tends to pop up in strange places. A few years ago I found in on Ocracoke Island two months after it was off the shelves in Asheville.
I'm curious to see if they still do this:

Probably my "no thank you" quote:
“White Meat Pale Ale” and “Dark Meat Lager” — which as the names suggest are infused with white and dark turkey meat — will be rolled out by Demonic Nun Brew Company of Lark Street.

Sorry. You're correct. Should've been here:

I'll touch them all before I get back to the dugout.
