Maybe I should start posting by the ounce...

Took some Green Man Wayfarer and a mixed 12 pack of Oskar Blues on the tubing adventure today. My brother is finally leaving for USMC Recruit Depot Paris Island Monday (after multiple ship out dates being changed). Here's to his successful bootcamp and A School/combat training graduation and career as a US Marine...super proud, and glad I had time today to hang out with him today.

    Hi-Wire Lager

Absolutely fan-damn-tastic with shrimp and Old Bay.

    You're too kind.

Great way to celebrate with your brother. We've got a good friend of the family who has attained the rank of Major in the Marine Corps and just got transferred from Hawaii to Quantico. We've got another friend of the family who has reached that rank in the Army, recently being transferred from upstate NY to Fayetteville, NC. Both families are thrilled and we're quite proud.

Ha! You should have had one of these:

Fuse and I tasted one at World of Beer a few months back and thought, "nice flavor/beer but perhaps not worth a full pint."

Normally every summer I buy a case of DFH Festina Peche.

Last summer, I felt the beer (or my putting it on a pedestal) let me down and I did not enjoy it as much.

I was determined to make it through this summer without Festina Peche.

My better half was quite upset last night to learn Festina Peche was out and I had purchased none.

There were two four packs in the fridge when I came home tonight.

Turns out this would have been a bad year to skip.
So much better than I remembered!

    Go out and get some!

That coriander is really tasty in a saison or a Belgian white ale...

Finally on the right thread. Maybe you could take the time to go through all the threads where you and our other faithful have made the numerous beer references and move them over to this thread. We might up our count by the hundreds!

Interesting name/concept. More like a barleywine or a wheatwine? Or perhaps an imperial something made with a lot of grapes?

That makes sense, too. Hmm, Ninjabreadman, Love Ninja #1, Love Ninja #2 and now a cherry porter. Sounds tasty. Hope ricks68 and mattman are out sampling and shopping .

Sierra Nevada Beer Camp Stout of the Union

Not that I have had one in years, reminds me of an RC cola or a Fullsteam Working Man's Lunch.

    Sent this to fuse earlier:

Found my most expensive 750 ml bottle ever:

    Ad Idem-Lost Abbey/Wicked Weed collabeeration

$46.25 at Crafty Beer Shop in north Raleigh. No typo.

More expensive than any Cascade large formats ($30ish) or DeuS ($35-40 range).

I asked him if he wanted a couple.

    24.gif24.gif24.gif

I've never seen any of the Sam Adams Utopia or Millenium series but have heard the former (I think) went for $100-150 for a 750 ml "flask."

    No, I didn't buy one.

    Holy @#$%
