Gizmo Stiletto Mocha Stout
I haven’t had a Gizmo beer in a long time. This is a lot like Burial’s Donut Skillet. A ton of coffee here. 6.1% ABV. Quite good.

I've had the Stiletto and Peppermint Stiletto but not that variant. Despite them being really local, I don't drink many of their brews but do remember several of their milkshake IPAs/IIPAs from a couple years ago that were quite good and Trebuchet, a barrel-aged barleywine, our older daughter gave me for Christmas a couple years ago that was quite good.

Last night was another New Glarus fruit beer cocktail-palooza with Belgian Red and Apple Ale. I'll ponder overnight and comment in the am.

SoPines Growler stop. New Anthem Name Dropper on draft. More to follow.

"Spring Peeper celebrates one of the earliest signs of the transition from winter to spring: the evening song of chorus frogs. This bold double IPA features a fresh hop aroma with layers of deep pine and bitter citrus, led by a generous addition of Warrior hop extract. The perfect beer to have in the cooler on the first camping adventure of spring, setting up the tent just before dark, spring peepers filling the cool night air. Or just on the front porch if you're lucky enough to be by a running stream."

I passed on several tasty looking/sounding FrIPAday discounted mini-growler choices yesterday at Bottle Rev on the way home from the office. Too many good beers remain from the last couple months worth of trading to add to the inventory, no matter how short-lived those growlers might be; in the name of domestic tranquility, too.

*Very*! Positioned as an "imperial IPA." Super-hazy (almost chunky) pour. A ton of pineapple flavors, then structured by the hops (and I don't know the hop varietals). 8.1% ABV. I'm guessing IBUs in the 50s. I'm a fanboy, so take that into account. But this is another terrific New Anthem beer.
I also picked up a 4-pack of Flossy, and a single of Simply Stares Upward. Fanboy.

Going to put in a plug for Triangle Wine and Beer in Southern Pines. It's as if Stella Brew and Total Wine had a love-child. Best selection of top-notch Belgian beer I have ever seen. Lambics as far as the eye could see!
They also had German beer, British beer, local craft beer, and non-local stuff. Plus a terrific wine selection. Definitely worth a stop if you are ever in the Sandhills.
