    Frosty GBS-Hardywood Park Craft Brewery

Local for the pick up guy

Credit-my Visa and accfan's delivery vehicle; thanks!!
    Style-imperial, flavored white milk stout
    Format-pint can; shared
    Drinking vessels-snifters
Appearance-slightly cloudy golden with a modest, offwhite head
    Nose-cocoa and coffee
    Mouthfeel-soft
Tastes-coffee, cocoa, ginger and some cookie
Adjuncts-lactose, coffee, cacao nibs, vanilla and ginger
IBU-"no IBU" on Untapped, 55 on the can
    ABV-9.2% (booze cookie/cake?)
Overall impression-not my favorite of the GBS series but well executed and a very tasty dessert
Ymm, Beer rating-low cat 3 because it has to compete with all the barrel aged version of this beer; it's still really good

Gnight Ryder and Shade of Lies (no relation to Ruse, Trickery or Foolery but at least suspicious) were also poured this evening. More tomorrow.

Lowe’s Foods stop yesterday. Some Red Oak for Mrs. Tripping, some Body Electric for me, and (new to the queue) Foothills Good Ship Wit, a lime ginger wheat beer. Review to follow.

Have you been to the Hardywood location in the City of Richmond lately? Their outdoor seating area got a major facelift. It’s great now! Fire pits, new chairs and tables, some shrubbery. Great, relaxing place.

It took a while...for about a year the only way for me to secure supply was to essentially follow the Heady Topper truck as it made its rounds in my area on Tuesdays, and most places had a one or two 4-pack limit on purchases...now it's everywhere around here...

Thanks for this update! I know where I'm voting to at least start our next Richmond gathering. Not sure when that will be, but some of us were discussing heading up that way late May.

I'd love to try Heady Topper if you're able to smuggle any down to a tailgate. It's obviously not worth breaking any laws if you travel by plane I assume, but it's fun to imagine. I'm the one who still owes you good beer at a tailgate anyway (after losing a pie bet Badly on a Duke-UVA football game).

Counting down to the next tailgate..

That's either a nice word play or another Untappd gaffe.

We haven't been to Hardywood since Father's Day, 2014, IIRC, stopping on an anniversary/birthday/Father's Day/duketaylor meet-up/food truck meal/some to-go beers event. Accfan is the RVA guy who has a large number of frequent buyer $$ accrued with them. Your description does sound like a major upgrade and makes me want to visit again.
