New Craft Happiness beer alert from the oldest craft brewery in Winston, and still one of the best in the state: (Foothills update

Our latest Craft Happiness Project beer will be available soon! SNIP is brewed to bring awareness to the importance of spaying and neutering pets. It's made with Simcoe, Galaxy and Idaho 7 hops; flavor profile includes tangerine, citrus, peach and passion fruit. A portion of proceeds will benefit Humane Solution, a nonprofit whose mission is to end euthanasia of healthy adoptable pets by providing affordable spay-neuter costs to pet owners.
Look for this beer on tap and in 19.2-oz. cans toward the end of April at all three of our locations

Mattman and I can attest from Anchorage Brewing - The Explorer that Alaska brews world-class (but too expensive) beer. You certainly picked a Cool first craft brewery.

Doing Alaska right is near the top of the bucket list. This beer will be included when I do.

We didn't get to Anchorage during our inner passage cruise/medical meeting about 13 years ago.

I had my first Rauchbier for German VP and liked it fine. Interesting. Not my favorite beer style, but not bad. I know some hate it.

Serious question for T-Will (or others) - would this style beer pair well with a cigar? I assume it would. That Boulevard BBA Quad paired perfectly with one as have some scotches.

(I'm only allowed 1-2 cigars a year which is enough, but just curious)

Foothills Torch Pilsner (High Cat 2 for Style) I'm enjoying right now is notably better than Our Hearts of Ruin Burial Pilsner (Cat 2)

Overall impression-live up to the ClemmonsDevil hype; not the best NEDIPA I've had but damn close and highly tasty; any 336ers that get this will smile for days
Ymm, Beer rating-low/mid cat 3; this is an excellent beer; RJ is right and I'm a bit tough on IPAs/IIPAs, as is TW, but I'd compare with Burial, New Anthem and Veil

My favorite of the Wisconsin delivery.

Does anyone think the Belgian Red isn't New Glarus's #1?

It's arguable, for sure as others are also quite spectacular. But I think most/all of us would rank the Red #1.
