Went there many times for lunch during ski trips and occasionally during golf seasons, too. Very good food and great views.

And, thankfully, winter is essentially done, meaning, it's time for some "lighter" beers to replace those porters and stouts.

All are welcome, whether you drink beer or not. Bring your favorite cocktail/mocktail, wine, spirit or NA beverage as it suits you.

    April’s theme is “classic craft”.
The 25 Most Important American Craft Beers Ever Brewed | Food & Wine?

    Recommendation is go find:
    Allagash White
    Anchor Steam
    Sierra Nevada Pale Ale

If you feel you want/need more:
    Oskar Blues Dale’s Pale Ale
    DFH 60 minute IPA
    Sam Adams Boston Lager

Don’t feel limited by the above, I figured it would be fun to have a common experience.

I’m also debating incorporating a short trivia game, so bring paper and a pen.

    Saturday, April 10 4pm EDT

Zoom to be posted on Friday, April 9.
Someone is going to have to make a B double E double R U N into Roanoke this week!

From nearby Springfield, MO. Home of the Isotopes. Maybe.

A double dry hopped session IPA. Only 4.6% ABV. Bright yellow color, with just a little haze. Good sized white head. Good beer, but nothing memorable. More bitter than I would have guessed, but still easy drinking. Tasty, but not top-notch. I’ll keep searching.

Upon further review, one or two of my IPAs/IIPAs will be entering the transfer portal tonight and/or tomorrow and they'll be some opportunities for additional PT (Pouring Time) verrrry soon.

A theory that does not turn out to be as exciting in practice.

    A nicely orange citrus nose.
An odd hop combination that is a bit off putting.

Should go well with the burgers in the grill.

A nice differentiation attempt in a crowded market.
Different hop profile and maybe this is a winner.

An orange infused IPA made with Simcoe, Cascade and Centennial hops.

Poured a clear amber with a hint of orange. Nice 1/4 to 3/8" head.
Hops and just a hint of the orange to the aroma.

This balanced out very well. It's nothing like taking an IPA and squeezing in a slice of orange, which I guess is what I expected. This is more like "just enough orange peel zest to give you the hint of orange to complement the hops". As it warmed, the orange came out a bit more, but still pleasant.

Did I mention a hint of orange?

Honestly, it was a little better than I was expecting. I'd give it a pretty high 2, possibly even a low 3.

Bodes well for the Hop Duster DIPA from Blue Mountain that is chillin in the fridge...
Found an old fuse review on this one from back in the day. Anybody remember fuse?

Had another of these on the deck yesterday. I think the beautiful afternoon and the wonderful company bumped it on up to a 3.

Yeah, the Barrel Chest I think. I've been there once before.

I really shouldn't be buying any more beer. I've got so much!
