Who has tried their Spotted Cow? And how was it?

Fuse and I have. It's good, probably mid/upper cat 2 level. It's their flagship beer. Analogous to Fat Tire/amber ales or Sierra Nevada Pale Ale.

#22 - Apple Ale - New Glarus.

I really loved this one. Such fresh-picked apple taste done only as New Glarus can.

We shoulda been friends in September, 2016 while we were on the devildeac midwest beer-cation, err, Duke football tour, when I picked up 4 bottles of Pommes Sauvage, a foedre aged blonde apple ale, directly from the brewery. Even better than Apple Ale.

Funkatorium also had a Garcon de Ferme with Peach that was good. The cherry was my favorite. Then the peach. The La Bonte with Pear and La Bonte Rose were meh

It’s out again - all time favorite, now in 4-packs, 12.oz. Stubbies -

Hardywood Bourbon Cru is brewed in fashion of Belgium's revered monastic breweries. Bourbon Cru displays a rich mahogany hue with a medium body and brilliant clarity after months of barrel aging. The maturity and melding of flavors brought on by the freshly drained bourbon barrels lend an extraordinary sense of harmony to Bourbon Cru. Almond, toffee, and oaky vanilla give way to notes of dark cherries and raisins. Subtle hints of plum are greeted by caramel overtones for a smooth, robust and warming finish.

#5 - Red Oak Amber Lager

I still laugh that I lived in Charlottesville for 2 years in fellowship and beergoddess used to bring me Red Oak bottles. Because I didn't know that Virginia knew how to make good beer. They do.

But Red Oak is legit

I get this at every ball game we go to at Duke. Tradition is wife gets a cab and the shrimp corn chowder at the WD Inn, I get the Red Oak on draft. Always look forward to it.

Nectar is also really good.

Nectar was my second favorite NG beer. Followed by the Raspberry Tart, then Cran-bic, then Apple Ale. All good.

#36 - Hit Me Up - The Veil

This DIPA was one of the best in my first Veil delivery from accfan.

It was a one-off. When breweries make beers that good as one-offs, they're just showing off. It was like when Pearl Jam was making music so good they could release B-sides like Yellow Ledbetter

I remember this one - how do you introduce someone to the uniqueness that is Veil? Thought this one fit the bill.

Speaking of favorite ales - none came out in 2020. I really want this in 2021 -

Ardent BBA Honey Ginger 11.5% 18 ibu’s

Aged in bourbon barrels for more than a year, layering bourbon and vanilla notes on top of honey sweetness and ginger spice. This big beer is an amped up version of our seasonal Honey Ginger that only comes out once a year.

Straight Talk Vol. IV

A beer you don’t have to wait on or age - they’ve already aged it 4 years! That’s the longest aged beer release I’ve seen. 3/27 11am I know where I’ll be, hopefully I’ll get to pre order with my Hardywood family tree membership. I’ll take orders but I’m guessing it won’t be cheap and it will be limited.

I'm pretty sure accfan included a yellowmiata in a trading package last year. Not sure if RJ got one.
