I'll start with the Beer that brought me to Ymm Beer:

#1. Black Angel - Wicked Weed - BBA Sour with cherries. Bought by beergoddess at Stella. It was my first sour, so I still remember saying - this is beer? Wait, this is good!

#2 - Freak of Nature - Wicked Weed - DIPA.

I always liked this one much more than Pernicious, but I'm probably in the minority

Beer trading with a good friend & client (even if he wears the wrong shade of blue).

    He got:

    SoPines Whatness/Whoness Euro Lager
    SoPines Raspberry Crush
    Incendiary Shift PB&J IPA
Edmund’s Oast Maple Cream Coffee Brown

I got six Haw Rivers (including Uncommon Ground), Gizmo Stiletto, Ponsysaurus stout with Counter Culture coffee, and a Heist/Boonshine.

I think I came out on the better end, although he also got two Duck Hooks and greens fees on No.1 from me today.

#3 - Chien de Ferme - Wicked Weed Funkatorium

I've heard about Medora and White Angel, but this one also introduced me to loving good Brett sours.

This is one that makes me ignore that WW is a sell-out.

I don't know - he got some great beers.

I Really need to try that Incendiary Shift PB & J.
And the Raspberry Crush for that matter with a side-by-side with NG Raspberry Tart. Beergoddess will be the ultimate judge on that side by side though

I have had two Hot Takes recently:

    Raspberry Crush > Raspberry Tart

    Mark > Shelden

    I *think* I’m 2/2.

Clean, bright golden pour with nice 1.5 finger head.

Lots of tropical fruit on the nose. From Untappd -The HBC 586 gives Digs a guava, papaya, lychee flavor and aroma with a slight touch of wood and a dash of herbs. Talus lends a lot of pink grapefruit, while the Citra pulls all the flavors together into a unique “tropical fruit barrel” kind of profile. Talus and HBC 586 are both up and coming varieties in the fruit forward hop world.

Reading that you think NE IPA, but tasting it there is lots of West Coast in there too. It looks West Coast. It smell tropical fruit salad New England - guava, papaya, and lychee sure. The bitter pink grapefruit dominates the flavor more than the tropical fruit barrel does with the taste. The herbs they speak of are just a bit of black pepper that I get. Dry, woody finish. The nose is the highlight.

Very good, but not outstanding beer.

    Mid Category 2

Great Cause - Funds go to support Crisis Control Ministry in Winston-Salem. I thoroughly enjoyed and had been wanting to try
Sounds tasty. What other beers have been in their Craft Happiness Project?
[redacted] them and the horses they rode in on.

#5 - Red Oak Amber Lager

I still laugh that I lived in Charlottesville for 2 years in fellowship and beergoddess used to bring me Red Oak bottles. Because I didn't know that Virginia knew how to make good beer. They do.

    But Red Oak is legit

That's the thing. They're always having these, and they're all really good. I couldn't name them but I always order them when I see them, and the beers are usually outstanding.

It's also interesting to read about experimental hops, try to remember their names/numbers and see if they're used again in future brews.
