Oh funny. I found a four pack of this on Ocracoke and tried it. Had one there and the rest yesterday back in. Asheville. I also found it unremarkable, but also inoffensive.
    That’s a perfect description.

New Anthem Dancing On My Own DIPA

Fanboy strikes again! Mosaic and Amarillo hops for this one. Woooo-daddy, some citrus here. Lots of guava and mango to my palate. A beautiful hazy yellow pour. The back-end bite from the hops is really good. 8.3% ABV. Wish I had purchased more, but this single will have to do. NA is killin’ it right now with these IPAs.

Been a while since I had that one and barely remember it. I've heard rumors/speculations about someone's husband brewing a pale ale in recent days...

Not sure I've had this one but it sounds familiar.

Speaking of New Anthem and fanboys/girls

    From Saturday night:

Simply Stares Upward-New Anthem Beer Project

    Close enough for local

    Credit-vacation VP beer
Style-IPA (or is it a hazy/NEIPA, or maybe a DIPA?)
    Format-pint can
    Stemware-Hardywood teku
Appearance-very hazy pineapple yellow. generous foamy head
    Nose-pineapple, peach, mango
    Mouthfeel-not *quite* a smoothie
Tastes-pineapple, mango, orange, peach, cantaloupe and a hit of honey (not added)
    Hops-Citra, Simcoe and Galaxy
    IBU-maybe mid 40s
ABV-7.9% (is that IPA or IIPA?)
Overall impression-wonderful tastes, texture and aromas
Ymm, Beer rating-low cat 3; would certainly drink this again and recommend any fan, boy or girl, find this brew

Credit-RJ199 and the beergoddess; thank you and thank you again!!
    Style-DDH DIPA
Format-we took one step deeper into the aluminum shortage
Stemware-if it came from RJ199, it was consumed from a Stella snifter
    Appearance-hazy pineapple guava juice
    Nose-a tropical/citrus fruit salad blend
    Mouthfeel-very juicy
Tastes-pineapple, grapefruit, guava, orange zest, pith
    Hops-Mosaic, double dry hopped (DDH)
    IBU-probably 60
    ABV-8.3%
    Overall impression-a terrifically concocted DIPA
Ymm, Beer rating-low to middle tier cat 3; I wish I had a 4 pack of this; New Anthem makes really, really fine beers, comparable to Burial, Veil and now Commonwealth

Yep. My selections for vacation VP were 4 New Anthem, 3 Wilmington Brewing and a Mad Mole from a new Wilmington brewery. I'll consume the DNP-CD from last week/weekend in the next few days while the transfer portal door is temporarily closed.

    ATTN: OPK

Speaking of Virtual Pub, OPK has *almost* fulfilled his duties and now his only remaining task to volunteer, umm, nominate someone for March's event.

Interesting it was a summer, 2020 release and again this winter. They turnover their products fairly frequently and I didn't recall them re-brewing that many.

    Speaking of turnovers...

Somebody has to sip an orange-colored/flavored/themed beer tonight to toast Jimmy B.

Let's just rate best brewery solely on the beer.
