So glad they enjoyed! Those were Incendiary - Our Darkest Days - both variants. No lie

We're certainly appreciative and enjoying the New Glarus delivery! Valentines beer right there, in this house

Opps, sorry for the name mix up; our son researched it when I asked and he told me the wrong name. It's his father's fault.

    Another Valentine's Day beer:

The entire New Glarus fruit beer catalogue should be on this list.

New to PBC. Pours the color of a porter, but with way more head. Malty, but with a good peppercorn bite. Just a hint of sour. I could conceivably confuse this for a black IPA, though. 7.3% ABV. Quite good.

Sounds like an interesting beer. I should've saved you a Black Bugatti, a black TIPA. Obviously wouldn't have been a fair comparison but *that* was a black IPA.

Not sure I've ever seen this anywhere I've looked in the Belgian beers sections of the stores in which I've shopped:

    IBU: 32
    Hops: Northern Brewer, Fuggles, Sterling
    Malts: ?
    Serving Temp: 42°F

Interesting recommendation as a Valentine's Day beer given its availability dates.

    French Toasted Joe-Heist Brewery

    Sorta local

    Credit-son; thanks
    Style-breakfast pastry imperial stout
    Format-pint can shared two ways
    Serving glasses-snifters
Appearance-very, very dark brown, small tan head
    Nose-cuppa Joe
    Mouthfeel-soft
Tastes-large dose of coffee, cinnamon, heavily roasted grains, hints of maple
    Adjuncts-coffee, cinnamon and maple syrup
    IBU-50
ABV-10% (not yo' momma's French toast)
Overall impression-excellent impression of a breakfast dessert
Ymm, Beer rating-low cat 3; very nicely blended

"Brewer’s Description: “Don’t let the name scare you. This hybrid IPA’s bitterness blends with the subtle dark chocolate flavors provided by cocoa nibs and chocolate malts. It is then enhanced by bitter orange peel additions and a dry hopping of Citra”.

Never had a chocolate orange IPA .

Haven't been overly fond of strawberry beers over the years. Maybe a Florida resident can sample and report back.
