    Local for *that* beer guy.

    Credit-son of devildeac; thanks!!
Style-flavored and double barrel aged (d'oh!) imperial stout
    Format-bomber, shared 3 ways
    Packaged on-01/22/21 (fresh!!)
    Drinking vessels-mini Ditka snifters
Appearance-deep, dark brown; small tan head
Aromas-I need some pancakes and bacon/sausage with this
    Mouthfeel-seductive
Tastes-dark chocolate, bourbon, coffee, maple syrup and vanilla; all x2
Adjuncts-two types of coffee and vanilla; no chocolate harmed but it sure tasted like that
    IBU-50, I think
    ABV-10.8%
    Overall impression-outstanding blend
Ymm, Beer rating-mid cat 3; not only are there a lot of IPAs/IIPAs in the room, there are also many barrel aged RIS; this one's a winner

What the PR folks say about this creation:

"For 12 months our Imperial Stout has been resting in organic maple syrup barrels that formerly held Heaven Hill bourbon. We then conditioned the beer on vanilla and a blend of Colombia Cafe La Victoria and Guatemala Quisache coffees from our dear friends at One Line Coffee..."

The best-est part/last sentence on the back label; for Tripping William, of course:

"...You can’t drink all day unless you start in the morning!"

    Local for Family Tree members.

    Credit-accfanfrom1970; thanks, thanks and thanks!!
    Style-BBA flavored imperial stout
Format-corked and caged 750 ml bottle shared 3 ways
    Service-standard snifters
Appearance-dark, very dark brown; small, mocha head
    Nose-"what'd you bake today, Mom?"
    Mouthfeel-seductive
Tastes-dark chocolate, coffee, bourbon, pecans, burnt dark brown sugar, subtle coconut
Adjuncts-from the back label; "all the elements of a slice of German Chocolate Cake and a hot cup of coffee"
IBU-who cares, but probably around 50
ABV-13.2% (there should be an additional warning on the bottle)
    Overall impression-stunning
Ymm, Beer rating-upper tier cat 3; all tasters thought this was one of the top 5 (?3) fancy/pastry stouts we've ever tasted; I'd buy a case

I’m glad this lived up to its billing. I was convinced this was up your alley...as for buying a case? This was a family tree exclusive from last year, haven’t seen any “extras” for sale but I’ll keep my eyes open. They have a “warehouse” sale once or twice a year with odds and ends and extras. I’ve been very happy with my membership, and this is another reason why. Now if we can only get back to tailgating so I can share some other offerings.

It pours like thick creamy pineapple-orange juice. The aroma is gorgeous, intense fresh-squeezed tangerine, pineapple, and orange juice.

There is a lot going on with the flavors. This is a brilliant beer. It really does taste like a delicious tangerine vanilla soft-served dreamsicle. I've had many beers who claimed to taste like a dreamsicle. This one does. It's too sweet for a beer (which means beergoddess is going to love it). I love it too, and so happy to have 3 more. And we already know that Veil isn't beer anyway. But it's brilliant. The alcohol is well-hidden by that sweetness.

It's like a creamy, juicy mimosa feel and would pair extremely well with brunch or breakfast food.

    Thanks Nrrrvous!

    Category 3
I'm pretty sure I thought about having one with breakfast also. I found it a little more interesting than their "fruit, fruit and more fruit" offerings. Loved it. Can't wait to see what they do next.

South Street Soft Serv porter is an amazing dessert beer. Super-duper smooth. Loads of vanilla. The coffee is subtle. Wishing I had a scoop of ice cream to toss into this. So good, it almost makes me Nrrrrvous (to whom I owe thanks)!
I'm glad you said "almost". If you start being Nrrrrvous too, then we've got some real issues around here!

I think Mrs. Nrrrrvous needs to join Ymm, Beer with some clever screen name.
I have invited her to join on multiple occasions. I asked her to join the zooms.

I think she doesn't want to interfere with my "me" time.

There may actually be more of this beer left in NC/OH than there is in VA!

I am prone to exaggeration at times . I'd definitely have another if you found a couple at a Hardywood "clearance" sale at any time. Outstanding creation; you nailed it.

Your membership is indeed a great purchase.

As you remember, Mrs. dd will Zoom bomb us for a few minutes each session to greet all the folks she already knows and put a face and name with a screen name of folks she doesn't know and thinks are imaginary internet people.
