Someone might want to forward this link to Bernie if he's looking for a tasty beverage a little closer to home:

That's a good decision to be facing. I'd probably lean toward the Magic Scones but that's just me...

Cans were sold out so I *settled* for a mini-growler.

I had a Wee Heavy from Ohio the other night, tonight I have one from Virginia.

This one is Bourbon Barrel Aged - Topping out at 12.7% - Oh yeah, even Warren would approve!

I'll review after I've finished. Probably won't get to the review until tomorrow, but first sip is delightful...

Oh, if I only coulda found the barrel-aged version of The Zaftig's Wee Heavy that I brought you and accfan.

I think bourbon barrel-aging is a great combination with a Scotch Ale.

Embarked on the Dark Secret series last PM:

Dark Secret-Brickstone Brewery (brewed for/with/by their friends at Binni's Beverage Depot)

Local for the Midwest beer mule.

    Credit-younger son in law; thanks!
Style-BBA RIS (Buffalo Trace whiskey barrels)
    Presentation-9.375% of a gallon can
    Sipping vessel-snifter
Appearance-almost black and mysterious; small, tan head
    Nose-dark chocolate and bourbon
    Mouthfeel-10W30
Tastes-bourbon, fudge, molasses, bourbon, char, burnt caramel
    IBU-60 (Untappd)
    ABV-11% (Untapped); 13% on label
Overall impression-pretty damned good for a "plain" BBA RIS
Ymm, Beer rating-middle level cat 3; makes me really look forward to the other 3 members of the 4 pack gifted to me at Christmas

Magic Scones (draft)-Commonwealth Brewing Company collaboration with Magic Rock Brewing

    Not really local.

Credit-specially priced mini growler on FrIPAday on the trip home this afternoon
Style-fruited sour IPA (really a DIPA)
Format-two pints of ale in a glass jug; half tonight
    Stemware-snifter
Appearance-unfiltered berried juice; minimal pinkish head
    Nose-berries
    Mouthfeel-pucker up!
Tastes-blackberries, lemonade, lemon candy and SweeTarts
Adjuncts-honey, blackberries, lemon zest, milk sugar and a "lemon drop hop"
    IBU-might be around 50
    ABV-7.8% (a booze biscuit shake )
Overall rating-terrific creation; paired well with a crab cake Caesar salad
Ymm, Beer rating-mid cat 3; a near perfect blend of ingredients from a great brewery; nothing sloppy here; highly recommended

    In your head.
My husband made a huge mess in the kitchen with his kegged porter. I was not an amused cupcake.

He also thinks Equilibrium makes very good beer.

    He's quite the Button Pusher.

I saw a buncha Equilibrium products at Bottle Rev today when I purchased my 32 ounce growler for $10 and had it filled with Magic Scones. See review above. His gal Stella *might* have this but I wouldn't want you to be envious...

You could say he pushed the wrong button (on his keg) tonight.

I'll have him check for that on his weekly Stella visit tomorrow
