Any variation of this series would be great for Virtual Pub a week from Saturday.

Maybe OPK will surprise us with one of these next weekend:

Holy moly! I've actually had one of these:

(The bottle was actually much larger than the photo above. )

Might be running out of wine barrel-aged beers to suggest but I did find this one:

I don't think I've seen them mentioned, but Ommegang has a few. Found them on the TotalWine website, but they appear to be limited release and none are in stock near me.

Wine Barrel Three Philosophers - Aged in French oak, Cabernet Sauvignon and Bordeaux red blend varietals

Dubbel Merlau - Abbey-style Dubbel co-fermented with Merlot grape juice, aged in red wine barrels

Chardonnale - Golden ale co-fermented with Chardonnay grape juice and matured on oak chips (so oaky but not barrel-aged)

Saison Rosé - A delicate mélange of saisons, one aged on oak, the other brewed with hibiscus flowers and co-fermented with Chardonnay grape juice (again not technically wine-barrel aged)

I *may* have seen the first two at some time but never bought either. I've never heard of the others. Great finds! Ommegang should have a very wide US distribution market since their purchase by Duvel-Moortgart several years ago.

Apparently this wasn't quite high enough ABV to finish our comeback last PM:

Recently, I have mostly been reducing current inventory of beer I already reviewed. I’m still drinking, just not much new stuff.

Hmmm, I can likely be of some assistance with that.

Looking like a beer exchange on Sunday in a well-lighted parking lot of an open business during daytime hours. No bowling alleys in the vicinity, best I can tell.
