    From last PM:

Bourbon County Stout 2019-Goose Island Brewing

Y'all know this one already and it is worthy of the hype and rating despite its large, intergalactic ownership. Totally worth the $13/500 ml price (especially shared two ways) but even better if one of the RVA beer mules finds it for under $10 for the bottle.

1718 Brewing in Ocracoke is also amazing along with Ocracoke of course. If you can't make it down there this trip, next time.
Next time. Next stop (later today) is Beaufort, where we will be sleeping two nights on a boat.

Cool stuff. Can't help you w/Beaufort, NC or SC regarding any beer ideas.

According to Founders 2021 release schedule, this will make a re-appearance next year along with the Mas Agave Grapefruit and a new one to me, Panther Cub, a barrel-aged and flavored porter, along with several TBD.

I got the last 4-bagger on the shelf. I also saw a golden imperial ale called Marvelroast about which I thought long and hard. But Mrs. Tripping needed Pilsner, so that one got left behind in favor of Socrates/Plato/Aristotle. May have been a mistake.

Hey accfanfrom1970, which GBS goes best with pork barbeque? 😁

Good question. I’m thinking the regular/base GBS or the straight BBA GBS. We had brisket tacos at Hardywood yesterday and the BBA GBS went well. The Caliente after.

I was waiting for someone to comment about that. Chunkiest beer I've probably ever had and, unlike Salamander Slime, err Slam, this one actually was pretty flavorful.
