those might be nice to pair with that french's mustard beer I believe fuse was daring me to try
I'd probably slather a bit of a spicy brown mustard on each one and drink a different beer .

    Oh, my:

"50 years ago, Buzz Aldrin and Neil Armstrong were the first humans to land on the moon. On 7/20, they spent 2.31 hours on the surface of the moon after successfully landing Apollo 11. This is undoubtedly the beer they would have drunk in celebration if they could have. Buzzed Aldrin IPA is 7.20% ABV and we hopped it with 2.31 pounds of Galaxy hops and 11 additions of Apollo hops. It features a fruity aroma and flavor profile, featuring notes of papaya, pineapple, and mango, and enough gravity to bring you back down to earth. Here’s to you, Neil and Buzz!"

I'm very excited there will be a Veil in my very near future. And no, no one is getting married...

    Heart so full of gratitude.

Mother Earth 2020 vertical tasting in the fine company of:
    Dr. & Mrs. devildeac
    Richardjackson199 & thebeergoddess
Amusedcupcake and he who shall not be named 🤣

Shared some pizza and the four new Silent Night 2020s.

First of all, three cheers for “fresh” beer.
Nothing wrong with cracking these open within a couple weeks of release.

    Margins are thin but:
    Silent Night Grand Reserve 2020
    Silent Night Reserve 2020
    Silent Night 2020
    Silencio Noche 2020

    seemed to be the consensus.

    Opened with Silent Night.
    Coffee and chocolate nose.
As delightful as any barrel aged imperial stout ought to be.

Set the bar high for each subsequent beer.

Reserve turned it up to 11.
More of a bourbon nose, and more of that whisky barrel taste.

    Grand Reserve.
    Yum.
Caramel nose, sweeter and still more bourbon.
    Indescribably good.

    Silencio Noche
Not to steal he who shall not be named’s thunder, I did not a get a Big Red gum nose, I did get a Big Red cinnamon finish.
Devildeac put it right- the combination of cinnamon and the unknown pepper blend beautifully.
Flat out different than the rest, and while brilliant in its own right, maybe suffered by comparison.

Better than the beer was the company.
Can’t think of a better way to close out 2020 than by celebrating with friends.

I’m kinda thinking about ordering more since they are shipping.

    Happy Holidays all! 🎄

    Skol! 🍻

My husband has had that a couple of times at the brewery. He said it was pretty good, but not Cat 3. I'm not sure what Cat 3 means though...

It’s like a three dog night. Except with cats.

Appreciate the preview. Looking forward to tasting these.

If the beer is as impressive as the air-filled plastic in which each bottle was individually wrapped for shipping, I’ll be thrilled.

Funny story. I ordered three of each.
    Original shipment was three boxes.
Only two boxes were delivered initially, and we were told the third box was damaged in shipping.

Given the bottle “air armour” I can’t imagine what effort it took for the third box to be damaged in shipping. 😱

    2018 Silent Night

Pour into glass one a really nice coffee coloured head.

Glass two, not much head at all.

Nose is bourbon, caramel and chocolate.

Front of the palate is dark chocolate, and the finish is oaky bourbon.

Whatever the coffee adds is pretty subtle at three years old.

Might be the 2020 afterglow, really enjoying it with the Love Ninja.

Indeed. Actually, Silencio Noche; an unspecified "pepper" Silent Night that was outstanding. The participants will elaborate later tonight or tomorrow.

Good golly, Miss Molly, what a great way to spend an evening with OPK's term of "SDDB!"

More to follow. This might be worth 100 posts, nay, maybe 1000 posts.
