Ha! Our son "won" the lottery and bought a 4 pack but not with the BBA or the double barrel-aged version. He did go to the brewery for the "release" and had a 5 ounce pour of the double barrel variant (at about 17% ABV) which was $8. He declared it to be amazing.

Finally made it out to pick up some letters. Grabbed B, G, K, L, M, P, and T to go along with the E I already had. Many local, all Texan. Except for K, all are either "new to me" breweries or brews.

It's been a week, haven't been able to get out after work. Going to try today. Cross your fingers.

Excellent. I only ended up with several "Ws" and the lone "Z." No vowels .

    Also from last weekend:

    Covert Concepts
    Ravenna Brewing Company
    NEIPA
    7% ABV
    Motueka, Sabro, Citra hops

Pour was deeply hazy. Bursting with juice and citrus. Just a fantastic rendition of a crowded hazy IPA market.

    Lightbulb Moment
    Ravenna Brewing Company
    NEIPA
    7.2% ABV

Pour was another deep haze. More tropical flavors than I anticipated and slightly less bite. Wonderful all the same.

Never heard of that brewery, which is why Ymm, Beer is such a great thread as learning new brews/breweries is a lotta fun. Thanks!

    Ol' Rugger (2019)-Zaftig Brewing Company

Local for the purchasing agent late last year.

    Credit-son; thanks!!
    Style-BBA imperial stout
Format-12 ounce bottle divided over 2 nights (see below)
    Stemware-mini snifter
    Appearance-thick and almost gooey
Nose-dark chocolate fudge swirled with bourbon
    Mouthfeel-20W50
Tastes-dark chocolate fudge, bourbon, burnt caramel, more fudge and bourbon, black strap molasses
    IBU-50 sounds about right
ABV-16% (hence, the two nights/two servings)
Overall impression-a stunning (and numbing ) creation; not cheap either
Ymm, Beer rating-top shelf cat 3; I've got another coming (might be a variant) next weekend so will "hide" and report back in late 2021
