As long as you're not seeing dubbel (shout out to OPK for his Belgian non-fad Virtual Pub) or doppel (with a shout out to the beergoddess for her upcoming German non-fad Virtual Pub in 8 days).

Thanks for the notification and offer! Accfanfrom1970 is a Family Tree member and he already ordered several sets for himself () and three additional sets for his friendly NC neighbors (fuse, RJ199 and me) so I think we're all good. I think that line-up looks awesome.

And you're a nice/kind/conscientious person and beer nerd for doing so and we do appreciate it.

Bourbon review from a wine magazine?? 🤪

    https://www.winemag.com/2020/05/08/b...dium=inhousead

Only recognized a couple. On topic if for not other reason than the last bourbon on the list is stout barrel aged. 😁

Wise Man Shape Shifter Coffee Blond

Allergies are really messing with my nose, so here it goes...

    Thin head, dissipates quickly.
Orange gold in the glass, quite clear (who knew beer could be clear?).

The nose is sweet orange with a just fresh ground coffee bean smell
    Glorious.

Opening of the sip is lemon sugar cookie that flows directly into a soft coffee finish.
Most beer with coffee seems to pick up a bit of bitter or harsh coffee notes.

The coffee in Shape Shifter is so well integrated, so smooth.

Another hit from Wise Man, with gratitude to richardjackson199 and the beer goddess.

    Skol! 🍻

    Brewery Bhavana Schism 2019

    A very sour grape nose.

A really tangy orange opening that finishes delightfully sour.

A remarkable beer courtesy of richardjackson199 and the beergoddess.

    Another amazing beer from BB.

    Skol! 🍻

If we all drink doppels at the Virtual Pub, would that make it a doppelgänger?

    Brewery Bhavana Cellar Door 15

A two year Sangiovese puncheon aged Helles Lager blended with white peony tea

A light gold, reasonable head on the pour.

    Tart lemonhead nose.

A taste that may defy reasonable description.

Drinks like a faintly carbonated light red wine, with a lovely floral tea finish.

    Amazing, amazing, amazing.
    Words don’t do it justice.

Graciously bowing in the general direction of Winston Salem.
Thank you richardjackson199 and the beergoddess!!!!

    Skol! 🍻

I'm thrilled these delivered beers have been so enjoyed! Thanks for the review updates.

It looks like all of Bhavana's leadership has resigned, and they have a new CEO. It sounds like they recently tried to reopen for some take-out, were met with protests, and then closed back up.

I feel bad for the victims, feel bad for Bhavana, believe in justice, believe in the healing power of forgiveness, and selfishly I'm sad that it's obvious they will never be the same. I never made it to their restaurant which had major national acclaim, but I ranked their beer as top 2 in NC from what I tasted. They will be missed.
