    Sorry, not sorry.

I've heard good things, and for a $12.47 4 pack at Ingles and only 5 days old - had to do it.

I wonder which is more common- liking all beer, or having a style or styles you don’t like?

I feel fairly fortunate that Baltic Porter is really the only style I can think of offhand I don’t care for.

Now if I could just figure out if my palate is just super soy sensitive, or if I buy spoiled imperial stouts way more frequently than the average consumer... 😳🙄
Rauchbier is the style I find the hardest to enjoy.

Unless it is to discuss lawnmower beers.

    I'll take a Momma's Little Yella Pils.

I'd absolutely drink one of those. Good fresh beer is good fresh beer. Tasting thoughts?

I'll do a bit of weeding tomorrow AM before a long walk on the sand.

No beer will be involved until arrival home tomorrow night at which time I will be thirsty.

Fortunately, there aren't many of that style. Aecht Schenklera Rauchbier (?sp) is a world classic and everyone should sip one in their lifetime, preferably with some ribs, a burger or some brisket. Alaskan Smoked Porter is also a great smoked bier but doubt it's available in the 828/336/919 areas.

Classic Belgian blonde/singel/white ale. Might be a nice comparison with Hardywood Singel...

    Another One (draft)-Maine Beer Company

    Local? LOL.

Credit-fresh tap at Bottle Rev on Friday on my wife's Visa
    Style-American IPA
    Format-half pint
    Container-plastic cup
    Appearance-slightly hazy, yellow gold
Nose-grapefruit, orange, pine and citrus zest
    Mouthfeel-pleasantly bitter
Tastes-mirrored the aromas; maybe some guava
    Hops-Cascade, Citra and Simcoe
Grains-American 2 Row, Red Wheat, Carapils
IBU-not listed; my SWAG is 50
    ABV-7%
Overall impression-world class; #27 here (https://www.beeradvocate.com/beer/top-styles/116/) and well deserved
Ymm, Beer rating-low/mid cat 3; shoulda bought a mini growler for the weekend as it's gone now from their current tap list

    ÜberQuench'l (draft)-Heist Brewing

    Sorta local.

Credit-new tap at Bottle Rev on FrIPAday afternoon and a good price on my wife's plastic currency
Format-mini growler divided over 2 nights
    Style-NEDIPA
    Stemware-large wine glass
    Appearance-thick and juicy; lotsa foam
    Nose-pineapple, grapefruit and orange juices
    Mouthfeel-moderate bite
Tastes-pureed/liquified tropical and citrus fruit salads
Hops-Citra and Galaxy; double dry hopped (DDH)
    IBU-probably under 50
    ABV-8.2% and silly sippable
Overall impression-happy to have enough for another serving tonight
Ymm, Beer rating-low cat 3; not as good as Neon God (likely not many are); I'd buy this again and it's "little brother" CitraQuench'l which I've never had

Most are far too smoky for me.

Fullsteam did a smoked porter I quite enjoyed, which they no longer brew. Paired well with eastern NC BBQ.

A hickory-smoked porter that is also listed as wood barrel-aged. Mild chocolate-covered pulled pork from a Big Green Egg? I've had very few smoked beers but this would pair nicely with grilled tailgate fare but I think it's draft only. IBUs of 20 and ABV at 5.4%.

House shook in Wake County a few minutes ago.

Apparently there was a 5.1 earthquake in Salisbury, NC.

    Everybody ok?

I’m now wondering how many people have experienced a hurricane and an earthquake within a week. 🤔😬
