Nice analogy/comparison. The photo you sent resembled Frosty, their blonde/white/gold GBS.

The states we can currently ship to are Virginia, DC, Vermont, New Hampshire, Nebraska, Nevada and Oregon. For states outside of Virginia and DC, you will only see shipping options for transit time that are 2 days or less. We will not be offering any other shipping options in order to preserve the quality of our product and prevent extensive periods in warm temperatures

At the beach this week and picked up the Sweetwater 420 mixed box. Pretty good & with a flavor faithful to the theme. Didn't care for the lager but the wheat, ipa and double ipa were very tasty.

Haw River We Must Do Better Saison

    Double Dry Hopped

Canned 6/11, and the last quarter ounce of the can was a bit chunky.

Smells like a lemon drop candy.

    A hoppy saison indeed.
Not so hoppy that a bit of saison funk shines through.

Maybe not Haw River’s best, still a highly enjoyable beer.

Been a couple years or more since I had any Sweetwater brews; IIRC, as traders from August West at a tailgate.

    Indeed.

I love the lagers from Zillicoah, but their IPAs have been pretty middle of the road.

I guess it's a milkshake Berliner Weisse, but, Two Outta Three Ain't Bad as we've heard before so I'll bring it to the Virtual Pub on Saturday and thank RJ199 again.

I'm jealous of any Wise Man beer.

    Speaking of Hoots.

I never hear their beer mentioned in the W-S beer scene. How do they stack up? Wise Man and Foothills are great. Radar and Fiddlin' Fish are very good. Small Batch *barf*. Incendiary, I was not impressed (phenomenal atmosphere/location and Pizza next door looked great). Joymongers (only been to Greensboro location) had some tasty stuff on tap when I visited last year. Never been to Hoots.

Is Hoots merely a clever abbreviation for a certain wings establishment that might get wankerized?
    🤣

Nope. It’s Hoots Roller Bar. In the same vicinity as The Porch. Their beer is ... all right. Not a ton of variety. And not knock-your-socks-off. They have only recently begun distributing their Gas Hopper IPA in cans. They are closer to Small Batch than to WMB/Foothills in quality. My $0.02; YMMV.
