Kinda like Deep Thoughts by Jack Handy. Except not at all like that.

devildeac’s earlier review is a good one. Lots of deep fruit notes, structured by 91 IBUs worth of hops. A hint of caramel, at least to my palate. A very big beer, but exceptionally well-balanced. Easily Cat 3 for me. A second pint from the pop-top crowler has entered the transfer-to-a-mini-growler portal.

Never drank Tropical Shorts. Tropical Shirts, however, is a terrific sour. Vowel choice matters. It’s the difference between sitting on your dock and sitting on your, well, you get my drift.

Well, I've procured a few beers for the Virtual Pub.

Got a Berliner Weisse from Oozlefinch Beers and Blending in Fort Monroe, VA. Part of their Party Dinosaur series, it's a smoothie beer with mango, pineapple, vanilla and lactose. My wife wants it. Also got a Golden Road (LA area, CA) Mango Cart Wheat Ale.

Two ales I have seen off and on for years at Total Wine come from Samuel Smith, a very old brewery in Tadcaster, Yorkshire, England. They specialize in organic brews. I have the strawberry and apricot fruit ales. They are produced in a steam-powered location.

More to follow or delete if my wife has her way.

Remember, folks, the Pub will be on Saturday, June 20th!
Man, if your Mom made you wear that color when you were a baby, and you're still wearing it, it's time to grow up!

I've never had those Sam Smith brews though I've had many other fine ales from that brewery. Really looking forward to your reviews of those fruit ales.

Hardywood Richmond Lager. Pours light gold, unfiltered. 20% Virginia grown Cascade hops, Virginia grown and malted 2-row barley. So drink local from local ingredients. Nice light malty flavor, clean and crisp, bit of bread, bit of hop on the end. 5%. Easy summer drinking, good straight forward beer. Will order again on a hot day.

Wait, you drank a non-barrel aged beer that was also <10% ABV?

There are assertions being made public about the owners of Bida Manda and Brewery Bhavana that if proven to be true, make it morally impossible to consider future purchases.

Will be keeping a close eye on outcomes.
Do you have a link? I googled Brewery Bhavana owners and didn't see anything.

Instagram and twitter may point you in the right direction.

I think this will make up for it. Hopefully they still have it Friday after work - Veil

Double Stuffed Oreo and Cinnamon Hornswoggler 4-Pack 16oz cans. Double Stuffed Oreo & Cinnamon Hornswoggler is our Chocolate Milk Stout conditioned on tons of double stuffed Oreos with a dash of cinnamon. Thick with full flavors of delicious chocolate sandwich cookies and cream + the perfect spice balance of cinnamon.

    Alas only 7% abv.

I looked at The Veil order page a couple days ago and saw this offering. Sounds outrageous. Plus, at *only* 7% ABV, you're able to have a couple of them.

Second pint, in a Teku glass, with basically no head. Still terrific, but a little less flavorful. Not surprisingly.

    120 Minute IPA 2017 - Dogfish Head - 15%-20% ABV - 120 IBU

It looks like unfiltered apple cider. It starts caramel malt, strong booze, and strong hops on the finish. But smoother than you would expect for 120 IBU. I love this beer. It's a slower sipper of course. Thanks Devildeac!

Rodebach Caractere Rouge - thank you, DevilDeac, for sharing this with us. Really enjoyed this one. Reminiscent of New Glarus, and just as tasty
