There's likely money left in Klemnop's bail/bond fund as I don't think he ever took that nekkid jog down Franklin Street...

If needed, I’ll claim it. Fully clothed, though...

The password is the beer style that originated in the Czech Republic, with the first letter capitalized.

    Cheers!
    With apologies to Meredith Willson:

    Pilsner with a capital "P"
And that rhymes with "B" and that stands for Beer...!

I’m awake! That means the DBR Virtual Pub for April is open! Come on down and virtually sample and discuss your selections of Pilsners/Lagers. Other discussion topics of course are welcome.

I think the style is nice for brunch or even a shower beer so opening at 9:15 on the east coast is appropriate! But pace yourself!

I’ll start reviewing, even if not drinking yet.

    Red Oak’s Hummin’ Bird Helles

As mentioned a couple times previously, this is Mrs. Tripping’s favorite beer. A crisp, flavorful lager with some breadiness and body to it. Nice bright gold color. Foamy white head. A great summertime beer. Red Oak is lager-only, so I would guess we’ll see other references to its offerings today, and Hummin’ Bird is one of its mainstays. Solid Cat 2.

Thanks again for hosting and the AM opening! Earliest one yet, I think.

Speaking of Waffle House, breakfast stouts and OPK (well, nobody really was but this beer needed an intro ):

Collaboration Without Representation Double Coffee-Deep River Brewing

(disclaimer: actually consumed last PM but due to the late hour and double digit ABV, the review could not be completed while supine and snoring)

    Qualifies as local

Credit-right place, right time and prior purchases
    Style-BBA flavored imperial milk stout
Format-12 ounce can (about $6 incl tax ); I went two halves and a couple OT to finish this one and didn't foul, err pass out
    Freshness-January, 2020 release
    Stemware-Stella snifter (thanks again, RJ199!)
Appearance-deep, dark chestnut brown; generous, frothy head with an aggressive pour
    Nose-espresso and dark chocolate
    Mouthfeel-seductive
Tastes-double coffee is correct; buckets of espresso; baker's chocolate; black molasses; burnt caramel/brown sugar; bourbon
Adjuncts-cacao nibs, lactose, coffee, more coffee
    IBU-guessing 50
ABV-12.8%; warming but surprisingly, not overly boozey
Overall impression-almost too much coffee but still a well done variant of the original
Ymm, Beer rating-low level cat 3, even if it's from Johnston County; if one doesn't like extra java, you might rate it cat 2; if heavy coffee is preferred, maybe mid cat 3

It’s part of why I haven’t started drinking yet, and why I’m not yet posting YouTube links in the Great Golf Shots thread ...

It must be disinfectant strength, meaning >60-70 proof.

Got thirsty washing 2 cars and doing some protected grocery shopping. Picking up pizza, a couple discounted growlers and getting a few mouse clicks/keystrokes in at the office while I wait on the solid and liquid refreshment orders to be filled.
