Is quoting Tripping William the key to invoking an appearance in the virtual pub? 🙄

Sadly, I did not open a bottle of that this week after the 6 other wheat ales I tasted Tuesday-Thursday. My capacity is limited.

However, I *might* indulge in some crazietalk archives from over the Christmas holiday when I shared a bottle of that with some family members. Ya know, just because...

In an episode of "Cheers," Cliff Clavin, the trivia-spouting, quirky, irksome mama's boy mailman is seated at the bar describing the buffalo theory to his buddy, Norm Peterson, the beer loving heavyweight bar stool sitting perpetual patron.

Cliff expounds his "Buffalo Theory" to Norm:

“Well, you see, Norm, it’s like this. A herd of buffalo can only move as fast as the slowest buffalo. And when the herd is hunted, it’s the slowest and weakest ones at the back that are killed first. This natural selection is good for the herd as a whole, because the general speed and health of the whole group keeps improving by the regular killing of the weakest members.

In much the same way, the human brain can only operate as fast as the slowest brain cells. Now, as we know, excessive intake of alcohol kills brain cells. But naturally, it attacks the slowest and weakest brain cells first. In this way, regular consumption of beer eliminates the weaker brain cells, making the brain a faster and more efficient machine.

And that, Norm, is why you always feel smarter after a few beers.”
    Great explanation.

Surely one or more of them contain wheat as one of the grains...

    Just sayin'

Not really. He posted earlier in the week that he'd be traveling most of the day but would certainly try to contribute at some point.

Looking around in the virtual pub, I guess the great state of Virginia doesn’t make wheat beer.
Just a roundabout way of suggesting accfanfrom1970’s banter at the virtual pub is missed.

Also peering around, no beergoddess or richardjackson199 in sight.

I hear richardjackson199 has the “work hard” aspect of life down pat.
Needs to work on the “play hard” part. 😁

Pittsboro House of Hops is serving up R&D Blue Ras Berliner in honor of the game tonight. Anyone tried it?

The day is young. I think we'll cause enough of a ruckus that neighboring threads will come over to tell us to turn down the volume.

No worries, I have a 2018 and 2019 from Goose just chilling in the fridge waiting for me carry it into the great beyond.

While I doubt we’ll get a chance to try it, a brilliant find and an incredibly beautiful beer.

Right up there with last summer’s Fullsteam run of The Warmest Color. Butterfly pea flower makes for a breathtaking visual impact.

Be still my heart... That beer looks good enough to be the official beer of this thread.

Surely something wheat will tickle duketaylor's palate.

Plus, The Veil (or Ardent or Vasen or...) *must* have something they brew with wheat. Amirite, accfanfrom1970? (guessing you may be working this weekend)
